What an interior decoration website sir ji :)

I really like the last shot of the whole sequence.

Between, this is the first viral presented by the GharExpert.com, India's interior decoration and home improvement website ;)

Interior Decoration website or a magazine?

What would you prefer; an interior decoration website, an interior decoration magazine or both. Well before I start the topic I have a confession to make.

www.GharExpert.com does not have a paper publication for interior decoration so my comments would be biased for the website :) but I would like you guys to take whichever side you want.

• Magazines, especially the interior decoration ones, are really glossy which is cool
• Magazines are handy, you can take them anywhere. This is better for Indian conditions as you have to take the concept to the work site to get things implemented.
• Websites are interactive, you can interact with the website organizers and communicate with other community members. I like this one the most as we will be launching cool community features on Ghar Expert website shortly.
• Websites can have unlimited contents. Theoretically you can find pretty much every thing on a website well done. In case of a magazine you can get only a couple of months issue and then you have no idea what was there in the magazine before.
• Websites can have multimedia contents that make things interesting for readers.
• Websites can not go to the site, unless of course with a laptop and a wireless internet connection and websites are not glossy... Food for thought for the GharExpert team.

Ideas, Ideas, everywhere

Since last couple of days we have been discussing whether we should launch a "Ghar Expert Wallpaper" series but then we were wondering how our wall papers would give more than a normal wall paper available on sites.

So after some brainstorming; yeah that's what we call to the process of hanging around with a cup of coffee & chatting :) ; we decided that putting new year calendar on the wall paper would be a better idea. I know Vista has better stuff than that but not every one has Vista so I think it will be fun to have some thing this on the wall paper of my computer. Cool Interiors, exteriors pictures with a touch of time management.. Let's see if you guys like it. I'll post it here as soon as it is available..

GharExpert.com; What does Ghar mean anyway?

Ghar is a Hindi word that means "Home" so the website www.GharExpert.com relates to every thing related to home.

I thought I would use this channel to describe the meaning of "Ghar" to our international audience who do not have exposure to the Hindi language.

Even though the articles at GharExpert.com are referred to an Indian audience still the discussion about the spaces, their arrangements, and interior decoration techniques have global touch to them.

So the site not only provides useful contents to a "Global" Indian but also presents the Indian perspective of things to the world. Keep reading http://www.GharExpert.com :)

An Interior Exterior picture is worth 10,000 words, right!

That is what the team at GharExpert.com thinks, In every article that we publish online we focus on getting the pictures with right details so that the message gets conveyed properly. It is not just the Interior Decoration that we are talking about; it also applies to the construction articles too published at www.GharExpert.com

Now checkout the detailed pictures seen at the Kids room decoration article

http://gharexpert.com/Home/Articledetail.aspx?PL=2&ArticleID=1472&Catid=1486&count=1

And then check out the details available in the article How to prevent cracks in the building.

http://gharexpert.com/home/HOW_TO_PREVENT_CRACKS_IN_BUILDING.aspx

The idea remains the same.

Now I want to ask you some thing; should Videos be added to this? With India's broad band usage still at a very nacent stage it may or may not be a good idea. Time will tell :)
