Vastu verifies to locate study room in East, North or north-east of the house since these directions are good for concentration in studies. The study table should be placed facing East or North and the student should face in the same direction while studying. The table should be square or rectangular - not be too big or too small. Open space in front of student augments fresh ideas. The students should sleep with his head towards East or South for better concentration. Make sure there is no mirror in study room because the reflection of mirror doubles work load. The study room should be painted in light colors rather than dark colors as light colors boost up learning power. The room should be illuminated with proper lighting or sunlight that gives them energy for doing works.

Vastu and Interior of House

Vastu verifies some rules for every interior element of the house. It ensures to lay mosaic, ceramic tile and marble flooring. Avoid white marble in rooms as this is considered auspicious for Pooja room and Temples. The ceiling of a room should not be elevated. Flat ceiling is good for residential purposes.

Interior of Office

According to Vastu the interior of office should be designed to flourish business. Design reception in northeast of office and receptionist should sit facing the North or East. Waiting room can be in northeast or northwest direction of the building. But northeast corner should be left for temple and flowers can be placed in northeast direction.

The office of Chairman or General Manager should be built in southwest or south direction of the building. He should sit in southwest direction facing the North. His desk should be rectangular. Employees should sit facing the North or East. Employees should not sit under beam. If any other alternative is not possible, the loft of beam can be covered with wooden board.

Vastu Tips for Plants and Trees

Vastu recommends to plant small plants in the East and North side. But no tree should be planted in North-east corner. Big trees can be planted in the South and West portion of the house. They should not be too close to the building as they block sunlight and roots of the trees can damage foundation. The roots of big trees also absorb sunlight and do not allow it to reach the house.

Thorny plants should not be planted in the house as these plants except rose can have negative energy. The creepers should be planted near entrance door. They should not be raised on compound wall of the building. It is good to plant creeper in garden. Avoid milky trees in the house as it may affect on the health of family members.
